A brand of William Lipson Company of Boston, Massachusetts, Aero was launched in 1947 and quickly became a popular maker of mens’ and boys’ wool coats. The brand was particularly known for its trench coats and flight jackets, often baring a subtle aviation theme or motif. The jackets were well-regarded, affording high-quality craftsmanship for the most demanding working man. The brand lasted throughout the 1950s and 1960s before disappearing and little is known of the marque today. Aero of Boston trench coats are highly sought after by collectors and American Trad enthusiasts.
