ACTON CANADA

Since 1928, Acton Canada has been making durable, hard-wearing work and safety boots for the most demanding tradesmen. The brand, hailing from Acton Vale, Québec, from which it takes its name, was a pioneer in the rubber boots sector, serviced the emergency services, police, fire brigade, military, linesmen, miners, foresters and general workers. The brand had a brief relationship with AirBoss of America Corp, a specialised rubber manufacturer in the early 2000s before being acquired in 2004 by Régence, a Québecois family-owned enterprise that produces a range of outdoor footwear and apparel under its own brands and under licence for international brands. Whilst some Acton products are still handmade in Canada, most of its production has been outsourced to China.
